Perseverance... This seems to be my lesson lately... I was so tempted to just give up on that big paper because I've been so sick and thought it was so crazy to take it on in addition to school, class, personal interests, etc. Am I really trying to do too much, thinking I can balance all this stuff? And was it going to mean that I forfeited my reading assignment for today?

But I persevered, did the paper... I put the reading on while I ran around putting my bag together... I got it done, and I was able to take the quiz and answer the questions. This is not how I like to live; but God does give grace for the accomplishing of the task.

I even had time to make some lotion.

Congratulations on getting the paper done, and taking the quiz. I'm glad you were able to get it done.

What kind of lotion did you make?

my lotion
It's a moisturizer for cracked winter skin, which is pretty rampant in the subzero temps and low humidity here. I'm extremely pleased with it.

Re: my lotion
What did you use to make it? I really like herbal things. Homemade soaps and lotions are always good.

BTW, don't you edit books for bookshare? I think I saw your name mentioned on the vollunteer list. Just curious.

Re: my lotion
I do volunteer for Bookshare, although for about six weeks my volunteer access has been disabled for some unknown reason which Bookshare refuses to explain. I keep emailing and they don't respond. I wish they posted a phone number or something...

The key ingredient in my winter lotion is rose hip seed oil. It's a carrier oil that is wonderful for dry and damaged skin.

Re: my lotion
Are you a member of the Vollunteer list? John, who is on the staff, checks the list pretty frequently, and might give you an answer if you ask your question publicly. I don't know why people can't answer emails when they're sent, especially if they're a business. I just think that's rude.

That lotion sounds fabulous!

Congrats! I know how hard it is to finish (any!) projects when you're not feeling well. Yay God! :)
