Reconstructed entry... We were watching a film series from Focus on the Family in church ... perhaps Turn Your Heart Toward Home... He talked about watching a dad interact with his teenage daughter on a ferry somewhere. The daughter, he observed, must have been retarded. She was engaging in stereotypic behaviors and kept saying to herself, "Whomever, whomever..." People were staring at her. The dad looked at her and said, "Yeah, baby. Whomever."

The story had a profound impact on me. I wish I could reconstruct what I wrote. I don't remember. I only remember writing down the story...
