The day could have started much better.
I got this idea to go over to campus by myself using the bus--it's not that hard, and I know where the stops are.
The bus drove right by me after I had stood there for 15 minutes.
When someone is standing on a street corner, isn't it reasonable for the bus to stop in case the person wants to board? Or is there some special get-on-the-bus posture when there are no bus stop benches? I am having visions of getting stuck walking in sub-freezing temps because the bus drove past me... I like walking when it's nice, but I need the two alternatives for a reason.
So Mom is dropping me off, and it's rather humiliating. The independence mattered to me today.
