Neurologist visit is done. He doesn't think the heat or the Prednisone is responsible for the migraine increase. However, he didn't have an answer. I don't suppose it matters or is worth arguing the point, but it seems interesting to me that the increase coincided with the Prednisone usage. In any case, he thinks it would be prudent to raise my Topamax from 100 to 200 mg/day. He wanted to do it immediately, but I think it would be best to do it over time. So I will go to 150 mg on Sunday and 200 mg in two weeks. We will see what happens. If it does nothing, then I'll keep up with the GABA supplement. At least I now know about the GABA and perhaps won't need to go berserk if Medicare takes away my Topamax again.
And since Alexis is now at the airport and will be home with her dog in a few hours, I can safely post that I have snagged one McGriddle and stuck it in the fridge for heating up later. I think she will be happy about this. Hopefully her flight home will be much less eventful than mine was in June. Today is a superb day to arrive home. The air is nice and cool and non-humid.
The books and papers are calling, and my back wants a bed.
