more thoughts on short but well-lived life

Another short life... I looked up Stanley Grenz on Google--he is the author of a huge theology text we used in one of my courses last year as well as numerous other books. He died in 2005 at age 55. I am experiencing a bit of a wake-up call about how I will be spending my time from now on. If I want to accomplish so much in my life, what am I willing to sacrifice in order to ensure that it is done? If I love what I do, then do I really need all this "play time?" I really don't... I am beginning to understand why Jesus said, "My food is to do the work of my Father." He had a life purpose that truly energized him. He never ended his days feeling wiped out, even if he needed a bit of rest.

I want to be like Jesus.
