Grades are in!

The grades are in!

  • Women in ministry: A
  • Theology for specialized ministry: A-
  • Witness of the letters: A
  • Formation of the people of God: A-
  • Constructive theology III: A-
  • GPA for 15 credit hours: 3.8
  • </li>

This will raise my overall GPA to 3.49. For a semester in which I dealt with intense pain and Prednisone-induced depression that made me want to drop out, I am extremely pleased.

A very nice way to start 2008!

Congratulations! Those are awesome grades!

I'm jealous; not all of ours have been posted yet, and it's ruining half of my break with waiting.

And you managed college with prednisone issues? I really have to applaud this...I was taking the stuff, only in middle school, and it was hellish enough then; I can't imagine dealing with it in a college setting.

You really did a great job!

college and Prednisone
In my graduate courses it is not uncommon to have 70 to 100 pages to read in each course per week. I was on 9 mg of oral Prednisone and eight drops of ophthalmic Prednisone from mid-October through early December. I have never been through such a difficult time in my life!

Re: college and Prednisone
Dealing with all that just makes your grades even more impressive!
And I cringe at the amount of reading...I'm still an undergrad, so the horrors of grad school still loom a few years in the future.

Getting off prednisone was one of the happiest moments of my life. Though, as far as I can remember, I got less of actual depression and more of just extreme paranoia. I'm thankful I didn't have to stay on it for all that long...and give you so many props for dealing with it.

Re: college and Prednisone
I think the paranoia aggravated the depression. I have preexisting mood swings leaning toward the depressive side. It was very difficult to manage. I am down to five mg oral and one drop now, thank God.

That, rules!

A 3.49 is really very good--and the 3.89 for the semester rocks!

That, is, fantastic! Congrats! *big hugs*

FANTASTIC. It's sort of amazing how we can really bust our butts when the odds are stacked against us and persevere even when we feel weakened?
Congrats to you. I hope you are proud of your accmoplishments!!!

Absolutely! And you should stop by and see the house--and Alexis before she goes... A miracle has happened in here, and you won't believe your eyes!

That is awesome grades now if I can manage those grades... I did one semester though! I am trying to friend you, but for the life of me can't find the link to do so in your page since it isn't laid out the usual way, but if you rather not have me on the friends list, I respect that whole-heartedly.

friending me
I'd love to have you on my friends list. Would it help if I friend you first? *smile*

Re: friending me
If you're still having trouble friending me, click on where it says info by 3kitties and there will be a link to add me to your friends page. Anytime you click on someone's info, that takes you to their profile. If you can see my icon, that may be clickable also.

Wow! How impressive! 15 hours! Is that full-time for your University? And, to think, I only had nine, considered full-time! You go girl! Medicated and all! I, too, got all A's but I felt like all I did was shcool.

Re: Grades
12 hours is full-time in an M.Div. program. It is extremely taxing. I'm waiting for results on some potential schedule changes this semester...
