good things

I slept well last night. And just for this moment, my technology is behaving. (Thank you, JAWS tech support guy who understood that yes, there was a fixable problem with JAWS 9, XP, and Lenovo ThinkPads.)

Perhaps now I can get down to "normal life," which will involve laundry, homework, meeting with a professor, dinner at the church, choir, homework, rheumatology appointment, housework, homework, housework, studying for finals, etc.

I'm glad you got a good night's sleep. HUGS
Wow, you have a Lenovo ThinkPad? I want one of those! ::Looks wistful::

Re: Wow
Now that I got it working correctly, I likes my ThinkPad. I can't believe I stayed away from this brand for so long. I really like how they've arranged their help system, and the new wireless features are very cool. It has a hardware switch on the front to turn the wireless on and off. And 2.5 lb! With the 8-cell battery I get 6.5 hours of battery life without tweaking any settings. With the extended life battery attached, that goes up to eight hours. I'll try enabling the battery stretch feature and see what happens. It would be interesting to see what happens if I were to mute the audio and go to braille display only...

Going to just braille display only, you do miss a lot of audio information that doesn't appear on the braille display, although I know there are certain modes you have to get into in order to get all the information... (I know this is the case for total DB people who use exclusively the braille display). Now I wish I had that much battery power, since the Focus *drains* *SO* fast on my Compaq (which is a brand I particularly like, I've had other ones that I had serious issues with...)

Hey, I noticed you have Skype? Mind if I add you so we can chat some time?

Normal life is so grand. . .it's funny how it is so often taken for granted - but just getting back to a routine that works is such a calming thing.

Heh. . . I subscribe to a Bible Verse that comes in my email every day. . .
and today was: Haggai 1:7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Back up! Look around!

eh. yeah. I need to think about this today.

Maybe I'll cuss less. **laugh** Because I'll stop making a reason to!

Hope you have a sweet day!
