Not much time this morning, but if I had it I would write a commentary on emails presenting hysteria over the supposed removal of "In God we trust" from new dollar coins. The link explains the history of the emails--they've been going around for years--as well as relevant legislation and information about the minting process that is of interest.
Besides the fact that these emails create hysteria over something that isn't true, the whole idea frustrates me. Removing something from a coin doesn't mean that I lose my ability to trust God. So regardless of the truth or falsehood of the email, I will continue to use this country's money as well as trust in God. More commentary another time on the implications of the use of this phrase on our national currency.
